The Contractor began as an idea born out of countless conversations about what Florida’s homebuilding industry was missing. Over a casual meeting at The Red Mule Pub, that idea took shape: a construction company built on honesty, craftsmanship, and a clear vision for the future of modern living. With years of experience already established through Holmes Drafting Services, the team had drafted hundreds of homes and barndominiums for clients across the state. That foundation revealed a growing need Florida homeowners and landowners wanted something different. They wanted custom, efficient, and affordable builds that still carried personality and permanence.
From that realization, The Contractor was born. Starting with the very plans they’d once drafted for others, the team brought barndominiums and custom homes to life designed for Florida’s lifestyle and built to last. What started as a sketch on paper and a conversation over lunch has evolved into a full-service building company dedicated to delivering high-quality homes and an experience as solid as the foundations they pour.
On top of this realization they wanted to document the whole process of starting a construction company. Filming from the creation to current time showcasing all of the ups and downs we have experienced as contractors.
